Julia Marcucci Wood Opening Reception August 15, 6-9pm

Redbud Arts Center is pleased to present Shifting in Skin, a solo exhibition by Houston artist Julia Marcucci Wood. Featuring drypoint prints alongside graphite and colored pencil drawings, the exhibition explores the female experience through intimate, thoughtfully crafted works. Julia celebrates the individuality of every woman while reflecting on memory, vulnerability, resilience, and the lasting impressions of lived experience. "I hope to create a sense of connection and shared experience," she says. Through carefully rendered figures, Shifting in Skin invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and reflect on the beauty, strength, and complexity of life's continual transformations.
