"Correspondence" Opening Reception

Redbud Arts Center presents Correspondence, a printmaking portfolio exchange between Texas and Finland, fostering artistic and cultural dialogue between Houston and Helsinki. This collaboration features fourteen artists—seven from each city—exploring connection through relief printing, silkscreen, etching, and lithography. Each artist created a 13x19-inch print reflecting on thought, communication, and the crafting of messages. Inspired by a 2022 conversation between Houston artist Kelly Moran and Finnish artist Inka-Maaria Jurvanen, Correspondence bridges artistic and geographical divides, emphasizing how creative dialogue transcends borders and unites communities through shared expression.
