    In observance of this year’s World Environment Day, environmental leaders, activists and artists will unite at an art reception and mixer. Well-known designer and textile artist, Luana Rubin will present “Art & Activism: Creating, Promoting, and Supporting Activism through Art” and explore how textile art and other visual arts can be used to communicate messages about critical issues such as wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship. Guests will be inspired to form their own artistic path toward climate action. The evening also will recognize and celebrate the 55th anniversary of Citizens' Environmental Coalition, with special remarks from CEC President, Amanda Kuhl. 8324772645

    Houston Punkfest #13 Returns June 26–27 to Benefit Bikers Against Child Abuse HOUSTON, TX — Houston Punkfest returns for its 13th annual festival on June 26 and 27, bringing together Houston’s punk rock community for two days of live music, local vendors, and charity fundraising. More than just a music festival, Houston Punkfest donates 100% of proceeds each year to a selected nonprofit organization.
