Join Houston Center for Contemporary Craft for Cup of Cups, a high-energy, wheel-throwing and elimination-round competition celebrating the skill, speed, and creativity of artists working in clay! On Tuesday, June 23rd, we will be hosting Hack the Jobsite, a one-day leadership and career exploration hack-a-thon designed specifically for high school young women (Grades 9–12) from across the Houston area. This hands-on experience gives students the opportunity to collaborate in teams, solve real-world challenges, build confidence, and explore a variety of career pathways—all in a fun, supportive environment. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn, participate, and grow! Nerdy Girl Success will be hosting a free, two-day Sustainability Hackathon for college aged women in partnership with SLB. This immersive experience is designed to help students build leadership skills, collaborate with peers, and tackle real-world challenges connected to climate, community impact, and innovation. Participants will work in teams to develop solutions, gain exposure to sustainability-focused careers, and present their ideas at the conclusion of the event.
