    Join Us on Wednesday Evenings in Historic Third Ward! Ready to get moving and meet other amazing ladies? Come out for an easy 3-mile run / walk at MacGregor Park. We meet around 6:00PM and head out at 6:15 PM. Each week, we change up the route slightly. And every now and then, we finish up with ice cream or a refreshing beverage.     Join us to celebrate the world championship soccer matches coming to Houston this summer and get into the spirit by making your very own felt pennant! Use stencils to cut out the letters of your favorite country, player’s name, or chant; glue the letters down on a base color pennant; and be ready for kick-off. What will you include on your pennant to show your spirit? Note: Please allow 25 minutes to complete this activity.     Calling people of all faiths – or no faith at all: Spend two hours living out your values by helping restore vital ecosystems on the Coastal Heritage Preserve as you plant native coastal prairie species. The two hours of hands-on volunteering will have an impact for centuries to come as these plants mitigate erosion, fix nitrogen, filter heavy metals, and provide habitat to the wildlife that call the 1,039 acres “home.” This activity involves standing, walking, and digging holes in the forgiving sandy alkaline soil of Galveston Island.
