Hands-On Houston: Kites

This month, we celebrate kite-flying weather with current resident artist Hai-Wen Lin. Join us in an interactive kite-making activity that explores the connection between aerodynamics and craftsmanship. Construct a frame using wooden dowel rods, and personalize your kite to reflect your unique style. Discover the crucial role of a kite’s tail in stabilizing flight, and receive valuable guidance on how to achieve take off and maintain flight! Note: This activity will take place indoors and is on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. HANDS-ON HOUSTON is a free drop-in event held the first Saturday of every month.
