Join Sicardi Ayers Bacino for an artist talk with Gustavo Díaz, whose exhibition Botany of Thought is currently on view. Please RSVP by emailing [email protected].
With this exhibition, Diaz purports to provide visual representations of thought—a seemingly impossible task for anyone but an artist accustomed to engaging abstract concepts such as chaos, complexity, and fuzzy logic. He describes it thus: "Botany of Thought begins from an intuition: thought can be understood as a temporal fold. Ideas do not appear in isolation nor do they organize themselves into stable structures; they emerge, deviate, overlap, and leave traces within one another.”
