Fashionable Fabric Jewelry Workshop

Join current resident jewelry artist Dongyi Wu in making fashion-inspired jewelry. Dongyi incorporates garment-making skills and fashion elements into her jewelry, which explores the relationship between human bodies and their surroundings. In this workshop, participants will learn how to construct and transform fabric and basic metal materials into wearable jewelry, as they build connections between fabric and the human body. Using collage techniques and magazine clippings, Dongyi will teach basic sewing skills to create a fashion-inspired, finished piece of jewelry by securely connecting fabric sections to metal.
