    Houston writer Sarah Gajkowski-Hill hosts a series of poetry workshops in the CCMH galleries. Gajkowski-Hill leads each session with thoughtful writing prompts that respond to specific exhibitions of works in Prague Hall. Participants have the opportunity to ask writing questions of the presenter and engage in creative communal collaboration with the group. Inspired by the work of Clarice Marik Snokhous, and in conjunction with Celebration of Spirit: Photo Exhibition, participants will explore writing from photographs in the form of postcard poems.   • Image: Artist Talk: Wrapped in Memory with Job García

    500 McKinney Ave., Houston Downtown/ Midtown

    Houston Center for Photography, in partnership with the Houston History Research Center, presents Wrapped in Memory: An Artist Talk with Job García. Moderated by Areli Navarro Magallón, the program will explore García’s forthcoming photobook, ¡Qué Vivan las Cobijas, Cabrones! Family Artifacts and the Maintenance of Mexican Identity, and his portrait series centered on the iconic Mexican cobija as both photographic backdrop and cultural archive. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a pop-up portrait session with García using the cobija backdrop from the series.
