Like the original Max's Wine Dive on Washington Avenue and the other seven locations throughout the country, this is the place to go when you want to drink high-end wine along with “gourmet comfort food” in a casual, rock and roll environment. The company's mantra, “Fried Chicken and Champagne?...Why the Hell Not?!” pretty much sums up the place. The food selection consists of year-round favorites like “Famous Southern Fried Chicken” and “Shrimp & Grits,” as well as a changing seasonal menu that provides Max's regular foodie patrons with great variety throughout the year. Don't know anything about wine? No problem, the staff here trains on a weekly basis, giving them the knowledge to help both casual wine drinkers and more experienced imbibers make the perfect selection; you can even buy bottles to go here at reasonable prices. Texas beers are on draft for those who want to change things up, or just refuse to do vino.
