Volunteer Opportunity at Discovery Green

Discovery Green (1500 McKinney St.) has been hard at work clearing downed tree limbs and breaking up debris following Hurricane Beryl. Now, Discovery Green needs help carrying it to the outer edges of the park so crews can haul it off. The park is organizing a volunteer session for Thursday, July 11 from 8 am - 12 pm. Volunteers will meet on Jones Lawn for instructions. Bring water, gloves, sturdy, closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Discovery Green will provide snacks.
