The Cat That Wouldn't Die: A C.I.A. Records Anniversary and Release Party

A live music event celebrating the 48th anniversary of the Houston underground record label C.I.A. Records. With Darwin's Finches, Zebra Secrets (San Francisco), Team Trust (Austin), Illicit Relationship and Aga Zet. C.I.A. was founded in 1978 by members of the Houston punk band Really Red. During the late 1970's and early '80s, it released music from acts then considered too weird or political for radio play, including Mydolls, Culturcide, Plastic Idols, AK-47, Anarchitex, and many others. It’s still a vanguard today for experimental, transgressive music from Houston and beyond.
