Studio Scholars with Houston Botanic Garden's Fran de la Mota, Ph.D.

On March 20th, Fran de la Mota, Ph.D. will lead a 45-minute discussion sharing the following topics: misconceptions among people outside and within the tree world about how a tree grows, impervious surfaces and the Houston urban sprawl dilemma, why tree pits matter in an urban environment, and freezing temperatures and gardens in the Houston region. The discussion will be followed by a 15-minute Q&A open to all attendees.
