"Shadows of War, Whispers of Love"

Two of the most evocative pieces for violin and piano in one concert! Duo Dramatique (Dominika Dancewicz, violin and Andrew Schneider, piano) present their powerful “Shadows of War, Whispers of Love” program that includes dramatic, dark Sonata for Violin and Piano in F minor by Sergei Prokofiev and the sweepingly romantic Violin Sonata in A Major by César Franck. The first piece, haunting and vicious at times, with passages descriptive of “wind passing through graveyard” stands in contrast with wondrous and passionate harmonies of the Franck, unwinding like an epic journey.
