Texians in the 1830s liked to celebrate with a fandango, a festive gathering with music, dancing, games and food. Dancing and balls were an important opportunity to socialize and form a community on the frontier, where many people lived miles away from their nearest neighbors, and no gathering was complete without games of chance.
Join us for a day of fun for the whole family at the San Jacinto Fall Fandango on November 5, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. We’ll have saloon games, period music and dancing, arts and crafts, and hands-on living history activities.
