Jonathan Larson’s 1996 Tony-Award and Pulitzer Prize winning musical RENT shook Broadway’s foundation and has touched lives across the globe. The musical, which is loosely based on Puccini’s La Bohéme, follows a group of struggling artists trying to survive in Manhattan’s East Village, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. The grungy rock score includes beloved songs like “Seasons of Love,” “Out Tonight,” “Take Me or Leave Me,” and of course, “Rent.” After taking the world by storm, RENT finally makes its way to the Art Factory stage in a thrilling new production.
