Houston Symphonic Band - 40th Anniversary Concert

The Houston Symphonic Band, a longstanding community organization comprised of talented amateur, semi-professional and professional musicians will present its 40th Anniversary Concert Friday, April 10 at 7 PM at the MATCH. The concert is free and open to the public. The April 10 concert will include works by Barber, Debussy, Holst, and Hindemith, as well as more recent eminent composers of band literature. The concert will close with the premier of Brian Balmages’s new work “Toward the Next Horizon,” which was commissioned by the band in celebration of its 40th anniversary.
