Houston Reads Day 2024

Literacy Now will be hosting its 2024 Houston Reads Day - a dedicated day for Houstonians to come together to read to students and bring awareness to the literacy crisis in our city. More than 375 volunteers will gather to read to over 14,000 Pre-K-3rd grade students in a total of 42 schools across the Houston area. Houston Reads Day coincides with National Read Across America Day on March. Houstonians are encouraged to sign up and read to young student to make an impact or to donate to Literacy Now to support the event.
