There are more than 600 recordings of Nicholson’s songs by Ringo Starr, Robert Plant, Buddy Guy, Willie Nelson, Taj Mahal, George Strait, Garth Brooks, John Prine, Neil Diamond, John Mayall, B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Nicks, Etta James, and countless others. Although now based in Nashville, Nicholson is a native Texan and, naturally, a member of the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame.
