Archaeology Now and the Consulado General de España en Houston present the first in a series of 11 events exploring medieval al-Andalus, a place where Christians, Muslims, and Jews lived side by side in relative harmony and built a vibrant, shared culture. Interactive Evening: Al-Andalus – Medieval Islamic Spain, Three Faiths, One Culture with Professor Brian Catlos, Ph.D., renowned Religious Studies scholar and author. In this engaging talk, Professor Catlos will explain how Islamic Spain—home to three faiths and one culture—helped shape the foundations of the Western world today.
