On Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the San Jacinto Battleground will come alive with cannon fire, musket shots, and cries of “Remember the Alamo!” during the 189th anniversary of the Battle of San Jacinto. Presented by the San Jacinto Museum and the Texas Historical Commission, this family-friendly celebration features thrilling battle reenactments at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., living history demonstrations, and hands-on activities. Reenactors in period clothing will bring the events of April 1836 to life, while representatives from other historic sites will share the broader story of the Texas Revolution.
