Join Zine Fest Houston and The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art for a special event celebrating zine-making techniques from 1979, the year of Orange Show’s opening! Beat the heat in the Orange Show’s classroom space, where you can get inspired by browsing Zine Library Houston’s selection of zines past and present. Then, experience the wonders of the pre-Desktop Publishing era by making your very own zine using “retro” technology like typewriters, copy machines, vintage magazines, and more! Light refreshments will be available during the event. We’ll be spinning late 70s tunes and videos throughout, so come ready 2 groove!
